Guidelines for Spit Poet Zine:

*Submit ONE PIECE for consideration for an upcoming deadline,
that is 
ONE PAGE in length maximum.

*Submit a piece that is RECENT, written within the last 6 months. 

*Submit a piece that is previously UNPUBLISHED in publication
(single author collections are fine)
and please alert us if your piece is submitted for publication elsewhere

*Submit a piece that is ready for publishing, meaning it is EDITED for content, spelling and grammar, and requires only a once over by our editor. If your piece is not previously edited please take the time to do so!!

*Submit BEFORE MIDNIGHT on the defined deadline date. 

***Please submit your piece as a GOOGLE DOC attached to an email
to preserve any complex formatting 

or submit the poem in the body text of the EMAIL***

Submission Donation:

SUBMITTING TO SPIT POET ZINE IS COMPLETELY FREE
You are not required to donate to be accepted for publication,
this project is not for profit and all money we receive goes back 

into printing copies of the zine so that others may enjoy it too.

We ask that if you believe in what we are doing, and want to see printed poetry 
continue to thrive and be considered valuable, and you  are in a position where 
you can afford to support us in printing our publication that you do so on 
VENMO and we will be eternally grateful!

Guidelines for 
CHAPBOOKS/MANUSCRIPT
Submissions:


*Submit a body of work to submissions@spitpoetpublishing.org
that you are prepared to edit and publish with Spit Poet Publishing. 
Your manuscript/zine/chapbook can be any length but keep in mind
our paperback format and saddle stitched staple binding. 

*Submit your manuscript as a single document, using Google Docs 

or as a .PDF attachment

*Manuscript publishing services require a $50.00 deposit (sent via Venmo or Cashapp)
before your project will be started. Price of a project as a whole 
will be discussed before the deposit is received

*Be prepared to work (remotely or in person when possible)
with our staff to edit and layout a publication that is yours to sell and distribute when complete.


*We are happy to help advertise/distribute your finished chapbook 
via our future in person events and our social media pages.
